Ladies, This is to notify you that our Southwest Sectional Director Evelyn Wright lost her husband on April 7, 2013. The funeral arrangements for Evelyn's husband are as follows. The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the City of Refuge located at 14527 S. San Pedro in Gardenia. The telephone number is (310) 516-1433. The repast will be held at Evelyn's home, 4212 Don Ortega Place. Please keep Evelyn and her family in your prayers. My Dear NAUW Sisters, Our Sectional Director, Audrey Jordan, reported the following in early September, 2011: Dr. Judith Washington, President of the Inglewood Branch has been in a serious car accident and was in the hospital. Sister Judith is now out of the hospital and is at home. She had surgery on her leg and has a fractured pelvis. She is unable to walk. both of her legs are seriously swollen. She has a lot of healing to do. Please pray for her and send cards.

Adriana McNally has reported that her husband is seriously ill in Panama. He has been on a respirator and had lost function in both of his lungs. He has regained function in one lung. He remains in a coma. Please say a prayer for Adriana and her husband...December 3, 2009 Hello, NAUW Sisters: First I would like to thank Audrey our Sectional director for her care and concern during this difficult time. I would also like to extend thank you to Avie Kimbell of the South Bay Branch and Martha Caldwell of the Los Angeles Branch. Yes, my husband passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009, while on vacation in Panama. We are in the process of completing the international requirements to have his body shipped back to Los Angeles. Currently we have tentatively set his services for Friday, December 18th at St. John's Episcopal Church. I will confirm the date once we are apprised of the arrival of his body to Los Angeles. Peace,

Sister Hester Watkins fell at the NCNW luncheon in San Pedro on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. She has suffered a broken arm. She was treated at Kaiser Harbor City, and is now at home recuperating. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. |

We are saddened to learn that the daughter of Christiana Wortham, (South Central Branch), passed away Monday morning, November 2, 2009. She was critically injured in a car accident in Atlanta, Georgia, Sunday, November 1, 2009, and died from complications received from the accident. Additional information will be posted as updates are received. |

Good Evening to all of my friends and family. Please pray for my family. My nephew passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010, and my sister is really taking it hard.
