God looked around his Garden and
found an empty place.

He then looked down upon His earth and
saw your loving face.

He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest.

His Garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

As the days come and go and the world moves on,

I know you're still here, you'll never be gone.

On the night the Angel came and
took your hand,

We cried as you left for an unknown land.

But Heaven rejoiced as you came into sight,

For your soul was a diamond, shining so bright!

Candle Mirror
Dear Members,
Here is the information for Florine's Homegoing Service.
I just spoke with Anitra , who asked me to share this with all of you.  We all know how proud Florine was of this dutiful daughter, and vice versa.  She shared with me that, as it became more evident that her transition was nearing, she, Anitra, prayed for "swift angels" - she said her prayer was answered, as she peacefully went home at 12:10 P.M. on January 5, 2010.  We will TRULY miss her!

I regret that I will be in New Orleans then, but I assured Anitra that NAUW would be well represented for this great lady!

In keeping with the quote below:

I believe Florine was both the candle AND the mirror!
